About

Necronomicon started over 20 years ago, as a mentally ill Yorkshire man called Neil's personal project to obsessively journal every horror film he watched, just to pass around friends. Once the zine escaped this social circle, it developed a cult following, based on its confessional and anecdotal writing, and old school cut and paste style.

Like taking a peek into your horror obsessed friend's diary from the 80s, Neil reminisces about video shops, childhood experiences watching horror films, and finding comfort in watching horror films as someone with severe mental illness. Its unapologetic Yorkshire dialect, irreverent snark and intimate dialouge infects its readers to want to watch the horror films reviewed inside - good or bad.
